Brring brrring! A sketch for a card idea.
Beautiful, silent addition to the family
On a recent trip to Ink’d gallery in the North Lanes, I fell in love with an artwork by local neon light legend Andy Doig.
I took a picture of it to show the Mr, thinking nothing would come of it. I still didn’t take our decision seriously as we were having a beer and were a little over-excited about the idea of buying it.
Ooh, shiny dark blue hand-bent acrylic sides!
But in the cold light of day, he was still keen and oh my, here it is on our flat, looking rather gorgeous, bringing some silent beauty to our otherwise noisy home.
Perfect fit.
Worthing of a little effort…
Very bad pun, but there it is. The story is, I’ve had a stab at a competition entry. The contest: to design the flyer image for Arty Boutique, an art market to run alongside Worthing Artists’ Open Houses. The prize, free stall space and your image on all the flyers. The market is run by the makers of Bartie’s Boutique, which takes residence in the Lime Café at St Paul’s every second Saturday of the month. The deadline is today, so fingers crossed!
Apparently it needs to be Arty, and Worthing. Not knowing the town as well as I might, I drew the resident avian friend the Worthingers have in common with us in Brighton, the sometimes pesky, but always lovely seagull.

Boutique Market, Done!
A lovely day was had on Saturday, selling at Bartie’s Boutique. Thanks to those people who braved the cold and came to visit us at the lovely Lime Café at St Paul’s in Worthing. We had a great first fair and definitely plan to do more next year.
Bartie’s Boutique, 10 December
I will be selling at the 3rd Bartie’s Boutique, Worthing’s fabulous new market! A host of not-on-the-high-street sellers and artists/designers will be flogging their wares at St Paul’s Lime Café alongside some better known brands. There will be mulled wine, mince pies, jazz musicians and singers. So to sum it up, it will be creative, it will be tasty, and it’ll sound lovely.
Joining my stall will be my lovely friends at Hello Dodo, with their playful and stylish screen prints. See their blog here.

Drawings of late…

Hello from the drawing room
Hello,
Thank you for visiting my drawing room. Here in our bright little flat in Brighton I draw, paint, and write the very occasional poem. On here you will see existing artwork, work in progress, and any news on arty projects, exhibitions and markets. I love to draw birds, bugs, trees and forests, plants and people… I’ll post photos featuring creative events and undoubtedly write about any particularly nice shops…
Bye for now,
Anna
